FOOT ARCH STRENGTHENING

- OSTEOPATHY -

STRENGTHENING THE MEDIAL ARCH OF THE FOOT

A simple exercise to strengthen the medial arch of the foot.

There are lots of different elements affecting foot health. There are roughly 26 bones and 33 joints in the foot, all of which need to move freely and harmoniously. The feet are closely related to the ankle of course, likewise their healthy orientation relies on the hips, pelvis, lower back and knees doing their job properly. There are orthopaedic conditions where the structure of the feet are affected and may not respond to exercises, at which point orthotics may be more appropriate. Many lifestyle changes can contribute to the good health of feet, namely spending time barefoot for some people, while others may be better off stretching their calves.

If you'd like to discuss what might be going on with your feet, don't hesitate to get in touch and we can chat about it over the phone / via email.
