The Value of Completing a Treatment Cycle

The reasoning behind Osteopathic medicine is that if the body moves well and nothing is obstructed, then the body is healthy. This makes sense: if workload is evenly distributed across all joints and muscles, if cells have good blood supply and good drainage, and if spinal nerves give and receive all the right signals, then the body should be healthy and function well.

The problems my patients present with are always a result of a failure in one or several of the above. During treatment, we deal with the presenting complaint, yet more often than not, we also improve the general wellbeing of the patient.

On the first appointment, we will have identified the mechanical cause behind your symptoms and put together a treatment plan: this is the check list I keep referring back to, to make sure we have addressed the issue fully. By doing so, we have the highest changes of preventing the issue from returning, as well as returning you to your healthy, resilient self -- this is the value of completing a course of treatment.
